Poem of the Week

This week brought us into the fascinating world of Languages, Signs, and Symbols. So many writers have opened new windows into the way all three work. For the poem of the week, I am featuring a poem in which the shape of the words becomes a symbol of the thing about which they speak. Kudos to fiveloaf for a fun and creative shape poem featuring the letter “u.” Look, read, enjoy:

uuuuu
uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu i love you uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
uuuuu

you are my whole world

Be sure to spend some time at fiveloaf's blog:

Till next time, enjoy the reading and writing,

Very cute poem.
I have posted my 'rules, regulations' poem up early this time at http://scribbleandedit.blogspot.com/2011/01/potluck-poetry.html

but of course I'm in the UK so when your linky is up I'll probably be sleeping. Perhaps you could add me to your linky at 8pm. Thank you :O)
